Started a bi-monthly class to introduce our children to aspects of the Bengali language and culture
In keeping with this new initiative, our organization was re-christened as the Lipilekha Bengali Association.
Subrata Das was nominated as the first President of the Association
Formal organization of the Lipilekha Bangla Association (LBA) with an Executive Committee to conduct business formalities, oversee the Bangla Pathshala and cultural activities.
LBA conducts 4 events annually – Saraswati Puja (February), Robi-Kobi Jayanti (May), Annual Picnic (Late Summer) and Bijoya Dashami (October/ November)

Association with Somsar (a school for underprivileged students in Bankura village of West Bengal). LBA initiates its philanthropy initiative
Annual donation to the Feeding Westchester (formerly Food Bank of Westchester) begins
Periodic fund raising events to support Somsar, Feeding Westchester, disaster relief events, Human crisis relief for Ukraine (floods, cyclones, earthquake etc. in India and the USA) on a needed basis
